Our relentless efforts in driving marine innovation and sustainability forward are driven by a deeply founded passion for combining adventure, nature experiences, environmental preservation, freedom and speedboats. We design and build all our models to be compatible with either conventional or electric drivetrains. Thanks to our pioneering hydrodynamic designs and ultra-light constructions, we are able offer our customers a range of boats with unparalleled energy efficiency combined with top level handling and sea worthiness. From having established the market segment of energy efficient RIBs in the 1990’s, RIB Unlimited remains determined to drive the transition to sustainable speedboat transportation. In order to maximise the energy efficiency in our boats, we always go the extra mile in terms of hydrodynamic designs, lightweight constructions and drivetrain set-up. We rely on 30 years of experience and expertise from producing the world’s most energy efficient RIBs and our numerous racing initiatives have awarded us with multiple official world speed records including breaking the 100 knot barrier with a RIB for the first time ever in 1999 – a heritage that we today proudly build upon in our strive to create the world’s most energy efficient RIBs and be the leading provider of sustainable speedboats.

RIB Unlimited has its roots amongst a bunch of adrenalin junkies in the Gothenburg area on the Swedish Westcoast, that in the mid 1990’s decided to mount an inflatable tube around a Hydrolift T17 racing hull. The initiative led to a Guinness world speed record for RIB’s in 1995 and was undertaken in conjunction with the launch of the RIB Unlimited brand. Further world speeds and distance records for RIBs were achieved thereafter, including that of the “Ribcat” reaching 101,8 knots in 1999 – the first RIB to ever break the 100 knot speed barrier. The focus of RIB Unlimited’s products has however always been on energy efficiency, and in the last years this focus has been even further enhanced to truly enable electrification and sustainable speedboating.

The historic model range has included sizes of 6m, 7m, 8m, 9m, 32 foot and 36 foot over the years. The design and constructions of RIB Unlimited’s boats have always pioneered the market in terms of energy efficiency, which has strongly contributed to the multiple prestigious racing titles and world speed records that have been achieved. Over 700 hundred boats have been produced to date with a vast majority still being in use today across Europe and Asia Pacific.
