RIB Unlimited is all about energy-efficient high-speed Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs). Since establishing the market segment of energy-efficient RIBs in the mid 1990s, RIB Unlimited remains determined to drive the industry’s transition to sustainable speedboat transportation. To maximise the energy efficiency in our boats, we always go the extra mile in terms of hydrodynamic designs, advanced composite technologies and drivetrain set-up. Our relentless efforts in driving marine innovation and sustainability forward are driven by a deeply founded passion for combining adventure, nature experiences, environmental preservation, freedom and speedboats.
We build all our boats to order with a high degree of customisation to meet our customers’ high demands, and ship all over Europe and elsewhere upon request.

DRIVETRAIN CONFIGURATION
RIB Unlimited is all about energy-efficient high-speed rigid inflatable boats (RIBs). We design and build all our models to be compatible with either conventional or elecric drivetrains and let you, our customers, decide which configuration that best suit your needs.
Thanks to our unique designs and lightweight constructions we can offer our customers a range of boats with unparalleled energy efficiency, combined with top-level handling and seaworthiness, regardless of the type of drivetrain. We are fully independent towards the world’s drivetrain manufactures and strive to work closely together with our customers to select the optimal drivetrain and set up for every boat we build.

Our new models are the result of decades of R&D and rigorous testing in harsh sea environments in the Nordics – all designed to be your loyal partner for all kinds of demanding sea adventures while maximising the energy efficiency. Our hydrodynamic designs are either directly transferred from, or inspired by, top performing race boats that have had their excellence verified in world class racing series.

RIB Unlimited 8HX is an impressive 8m RIB featuring an ultralight construction and a proper racing hull with dual hydrosteps, setting a new industry standard for energy efficiency in the 8m RIB segment. Thanks to it’s direct racing heritage, it offer an unparalleled driving experience with a very direct feedback to the driver. It goes up on plane already at 12 knots and the planning hurdle is inexistent. With a 115hp conventional outboard it is capable of speeds up to 50 knots and has a fuel consumption of down to 0.5-0.7 liters/NM in speeds of 25-40 knots.

RIB Unlimited 6S features a revolutionary hydroplane hull and unparalleled energy efficiency in the 6m segment. The unique hydroplane plane hull also provides excellent course stability and sea worthiness. It further offers an optional self-filling/emptying ballast tank in the foreship for increased stability in idle speed. With a 60hp conventional outboard it is capable of speeds up to 38 knots and has a fuel consumption of down to 0.3-0.5 liters/NM in speeds of 20-35 knots.

The general speedboat industry faces large challenges in terms of sustainability, partly due to the emissions generated by operating the boats. By pioneering and driving the development of energy-efficient RIBs that cut the energy consumption by 50% and truly enables electrification, RIB Unlimited aims to make sustainable speed-boating a reality now, rather than in the future.
BEHIND THE BRAND
RIB Unlimited is run by two front persons with highly complementing skills who are supported by a team of leading specialists in naval architechture, hydrodynamics, lamination, construction techniques and optimized engine/propeller set up’s. Many of the specialists have an academic research background in their specialist field of competence and several also possess vast interational boat racing experience.

Martin Philip is the CEO of RIB Unlimited and has widespread commercial experience from the sustainable finance, real estate and production industries. He has had a passion for energy efficient speedboats all his life and been in the surroundings of RIB Unlimited since the early 2000’s. Holds a MSc in Business Administration and Economic from Stockholm University and is CEFA qualified from Stockholm School of Economics. Lives in Saltsjöbaden outside Stockholm, Sweden.

Olle is a highly recognized RIB expert, naval architect and pioneering hydrodynamic designer with a true passion for energy efficiency. He has been involved with the development of RIB Unlimited since the very early days. In parallel over the last 30 years, Olle has also built up one of Sweden’s leading and most sustainable screen print facilities, Eklanda Screen AB. Lives in Billdal outside Gothenburg, Sweden.
